2013-2014

In 2013 - prior to Iraqi civil war - the city of Arbil set a new perspective for its future: a metropolis. The ancient city core lacked efficient infrastructures to support further developments. Private developers were about to start a multi tower development in the outskirts of the city with the purpose of building a new city center. The Our proposal was to transform this zone into a 21th century neighborhood.

The programme addresses multiple issues including public space, housing, commerce, hotels, and entertainment activities. This design panel was part of a master planning attempt that would treat this area as a financial hub to raise the overall property value of the area and help the city generate more capital.
